Day 1: NAIROBI- SAMBURU GAME RESERVE


Depart Nairobi through Kikuyu countryside pass near Thika which boasts the world's third largest pineapple plantation and Karatina the second largest open air market in Africa.
Drive further north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve past Mount Kenya, eventually heading north to a dusty outpost known as Isiolo. From here it's a fairly short hop to arrive at around 1400 ours in time for lunch. 


After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive in the park famous as the place for the Samburu semi-nomadic tribesmen, the reticulated giraffe, the Gravy's zebra gerenuk, beisa Oryx and a host of the big game including elephant and lion. Meals and overnight at a Samburu tented camp or lodge.

Day 2.: SAMBURU GAME RESERVE


Full day at Samburu Game Reserve with two game drives. At Samburu, you will see animals found only on the northern hemisphere like the reticulated giraffe, the gravy’s zebra, the blue- legged Somali ostrich and the long necked gerenuk gazelle. Lions, elephants, buffalos, zebras, leopards and over 300 bird species are found here also.



 The EwasoNyiro River also passes through the reserve which is home to many hippos and log -looking crocodiles. The Ololokwe table mountain is also visible in the back ground. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day). Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.

Day 3. SAMBURU – MOUNTAIN LODGE 



Depart Samburu after breakfast and drive to the lower slopes of Mt. Kenya arriving at Serena Mountain Lodge. Located on the slopes of Mount Kenya, the lodge is surrounded by a dense rain forest that comes alive at dusk with a myriad of sounds that makes the African bush so special and exhilarating.


Considered the most spectacular forest water hole in the Aberdares, the lodge’s waterhole presents a constant ballet of wildlife. The lodge has 42 attractive bedrooms furnished with indigenous wood and African art, each with private bathroom. A spacious verandah also overlooks the waterhole for game viewing there is never a dull moment. Day 4: MOUNTAIN LODGE- LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Depart Mountain Lodge after breakfast and drive to the floor of The Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls proceed arriving in a tented camp or lodge in time for lunch. 

Seasonally up to a million flamingos reside along the lake shore giving the lake a pink hue. The view of so many birds is very rewarding and appears almost unreal. The hills surrounding the lake give an almost perfect silhouette and are home to lions, leopards, cheetahs and buffalos.


 This Park is also a sanctuary for both the black and the white rhino – it is relatively small in size so it makes it easier to spot all these animals.
Also found in the park is the rare Rothschild giraffe, waterbucks and Burchell’s zebra. The height of this game drive is a climb (by car) up the ‘baboon cliffs’. They offer a scenic panorama of the lake below, surrounded by a vast tract of euphorbia and acacia forest. Makalia falls within the park is an additional attraction. After lunch proceed for an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge or tented camp.(breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day).

Day 5. LAKE NAKURU- MAASAI MARA GAME RESERVE


Depart Lake Nakuru in the morning and drive further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Descend the escarpment to Narok, a small town on the valley floor proceed to MasaiMara to be in time for lunch at the lodge or tented camp.After lunch relax and have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge or tented camp.

Day 6 & 7. MASAI MARA 


Two full days in Masai Mara, Kenya's most popular game sanctuary where you will have the best opportunity of spotting the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). 


The Mara reserve is 1510 sq km of incredible wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers.
Wherever you go in the Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest. Zebras and hippos also exist in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal.Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but are still reasonably common. An optional visit to a local Masai village. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day) Dinner and overnight at the tented camp or lodge.

Day 8. MASAI MARA - NAIROBI


Depart Masai Mara in the morning and drive back to Nairobi arriving approx 13:00hrs. Drop at a Nairobi hotel.





Lunch on own account/afternoon at leisure.Overnight stay at the hotel on Bed & Breakfast basis.Optional dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant.

Day 9. NAIROBIAMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Depart Nairobi in the morning for Amboseli National Park arriving at a lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. Amboseli National Park is a landscape dominated everywhere by the glistening, majestic snowcap of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro - a fitting backdrop to the wild region. This is Africa’s highest mountain – some call it “the rooftop of Africa”.It is also the region where pastoral Masai and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many a century. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day). Dinner and overnight at the lodge or tented camp.
Approx Transit time: 4½ hrs

Day 10. AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

Early morning pre-breakfast game drive at 6.30am, when you have the best chance to see the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Return to the lodge for late breakfast. The rest of the morning is at leisure. Afternoon game drive. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day). Overnight at the lodge or tented camp.

Day 11. AMBOSELI – LAKE MANYARA

 Depart Amboseli after breakfast and driving to Namanga (Kenya/Tanzania border) where you will change vehicle and driver/guide and proceed to Arusha. Lunch on own arrangements. Drive on to Lake Manyara National Park for dinner and overnight at a lodge in Lake Manyara National Park . (breakfast, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day). Approx Transit time: 6 hrs




Day 12. SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK


 Enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a park dotted with exotic trees such as the giant fig, baobab and mahogany. The inhabitants include lions that sprawl on trees (though rare these days), hippos, monkeys, popularly referred to as an ornithologist's paradise with over 400 bird species.
Migratory flamingoes arrive in hundreds of thousands creating one of Africa's great natural sights over the soda lake.



Depart after lunch for Serengeti National Park where you will have dinner and overnight. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day)

Day 13: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO 



Depart for a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Lunch at the Lodge. After lunch drive to OlDuvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey`s renowned archaeological discoveries. 


Their findings include some of the man`s earliest known ancestral remains.Continue driving to Ngorongoro conservation area for dinner and overnight. (breakfast, lunch, tea/coffees & dinner shall be provided on this day)
Approx Transit time: 4 hrs

Day 14: NGORONGORO 


After breakfast descend down to the crater floor (2000 feet - over 600 metres) for 1/2 day crater tour with picnic lunches. 



Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephants, the lake area, where you may find flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.



Dinner and overnight at a lodge in Ngorongoro.

Pls note: Only ½ day tours may be allowed at the crater.

Day 15. Back to Arusha

Depart Ngorongoro after breakfast and drive to Arusha. Depart Ngorongoro after breakfast and drive to Arusha. Lunch at Impala Hotel then to be assisted to board afternoon shuttle bus back to Nairobi arriving approx 18:30hrs
(a flying option is available). 




Drop at your hotel or at the airport for onward flight.
